Going on a driving vacation

Wilmette, IL - Here we come!

My wife, Joan, and I are driving to the Chicago area (677 miles from Asheville) on Wednesday to visit my sister and her husband for a few days. We haven’t gone anywhere in quite a while. To be honest, we’re avoiding flying because of what seems like an abundance of near-misses on the ground. While there, we’re going to walk to the Bahá’í House of Worship (picture below). It is the second one ever constructed and the oldest one still standing.

On our way, we’re stopping for lunch at Berea College in Berea, KY - tuition-free since 1892.

This is to say that there won’t be any articles posted here for about a week. I will probably continue to occasionally post on Substack Notes.
