The finding that healthy habits help more once you already have multiple conditions is the one worth repeating to anyone who thinks the ship has sailed. That's the opposite of what most people assume at 70 or 80.

I wear both an Oura ring and an Apple Watch, and the steps and activity trends matter more to me than any single day's number. The Taipei study backs that up too, a simple step goal without any fancy app tricks still moved the needle on strength and sedentary time.

Physical activity beating out diet and smoking status as the strongest factor lines up with what I see constantly in my older players. The ones still moving several times a week hold up noticeably better than the ones who quietly stopped. I think we all understand this.
