Podcasts and Partnership
Goings-on at TheSeniorTechie
This is Paul Wilczynski, creator and publisher of TheSeniorTechie. I wanted to take a few minutes to tell you about a couple of new things that we’re doing.
Podcasts
You may have noticed that we’ve started publishing podcasts. After publishing over 80 articles, we’ve expanded into podcasting to reach those who prefer or need audio content or who may find listening easier than reading on screens. That might be due to vision challenges, a preference for multitasking, or simply enjoying audio content while doing other activities.
The podcast format allows TheSeniorTechie to deliver the same practical technology guidance in a more accessible medium.
We’ll be doing podcasts of three different types and lengths:
Regular-length podcasts (around 12 minutes) will generally be riffs on published articles. We plan on 3 of those a week to match our article schedule (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday).
Occasional longer-length podcasts (approximately 30 minutes) will provide deeper dives into specific issues. Our most recent one is called Bridging Senior Knowledge Gaps in Tech.
Short podcasts (approximately 3-5 minutes) will feature observations on issues related to seniors and technology that don’t warrant a published article.
I thought about sending out emails announcing new podcast episodes, but decided that doing so would be clogging up your inbox, which nobody wants. While they’re available on the Podcast tab on our home page at TheSeniorTechie.com, the easiest way to access them is by subscribing at your regular source of podcasts - Apple Podcasts, YouTube, or Spotify. Just search for TheSeniorTechie.
Partnership
A couple of weeks ago, Tommy Tannenbaum of Tech Maid contacted me on LinkedIn and observed that our services seem complementary. While we provide tech information, Tech Maid provides tech help to seniors and others.
Their Digital Assistant is available 24/7 - get help anytime, day or night
No waiting on hold or scheduling appointments
Plain language explanations without technical jargon
Step-by-step guidance for any tech problem (and it never gets frustrated!)
And importantly, sometimes you just need to talk to a real person. Request a callback, and their friendly team will reach out to help with your specific situation.
Tommy graciously agreed to offer two full months of Tech Maid support to paid subscribers of TheSeniorTechie to introduce his service to you. I’ve checked it out, and it works really well.
You can click here to upgrade your subscription and get two free months of tech support from Tech Maid:
